An Alabama native, Nate graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, General Engineering Curriculum. After graduation, Nate served on Active duty for five years as an Army Field Artillery and Finance Officer leading in positions ranging from Battery Fire Direction Officer, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Fire Direction Officer, and Disbursing Officer.

After transitioning from the Army, Nate entered the military recruiting industry and brings three decades of recruiting experience to Cohen Partners. Nate considers his successful career in military recruiting a personal mission. His own military background and notable military recruiting and hiring experience enable him to expertly gauge and determine the ideal opportunities for each individual candidate. Nate’s innate ability to assess a candidate’s experience, skills and passion empowers him to be very adept at matching military veterans with corporate careers.

As a former Army Officer and seasoned professional with over 32 years in the military recruiting industry, Nate has had the distinct honor of placing thousands of transitioning and industry experienced veterans in business with Fortune 500 and emerging companies. He places military top talent into civilian positions that lead to lasting successful careers. Many of his former candidates now serve in executive leadership roles like CEO, President, Chief People Officer, SVP, VP and Director throughout Corporate America.

A life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Nate enjoys serving in his local home church, spending quality time with family and working within the community to better the lives and choices of Birmingham’s at-risk kids.
